Soft Simple Dinner Rolls

Pillowy soft dinner rolls made with just a handful of simple ingredients, perfect for any meal.

Makes 12 rolls

Ingredients

1 cup & 2 tablespoons water (110 degrees)

1 teaspoon dry active yeast

1 tablespoon sugar

½ teaspoon salt

2 ¾ cups flour

½ stick softened butter

Instructions

Soften butter in microwave safe bowl, set aside to cool slightly. Combine hot water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy top layer appears.

In a separate bowl combine flour and salt. When yeast is foamy, combine butter and yeast with flour mixture and knead for 10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes with dough hook. Place dough into oiled bowl, cover and let it double in size.

When ready, punch out the air and turn the dough out onto the counter. Shape dough into 12 equal sized balls. Arrange the balls equally spaced on a parchment lined baking sheet, cover and let rise while oven preheats to 350.

Consider brushing rolls with egg wash or herbed butter just before baking for even more flavor. Bake for 15-20 minutes & enjoy!
